Scott Seibring introduced Illinois Wesleyan University President, Dr. Sheahon Zenger. Dr. Zenger is the 21st President of IWU, following roles at Illinois State and interim president at the University of New Haven. During his time at Illinois Wesleyan, Dr. Zenger has overseen several major initiatives, including the ongoing construction of the Petrick Idea Center, the launch of the Center for Humanities, acceleration and growth of interdisciplinary quantum studies, kicked off the university’s 175th anniversary celebration, and, in the fall of 2025, welcomed the largest incoming class of new Titans in the last 15 years.
Illinois Wesleyan has had much to brag about lately, with record enrollment, record giving, the Petrick Idea Center opening, and more. They've also had athletic success winning 4 CCIW championships this year. Additionally, 98% of graduates are hired within weeks of commencement.
The Petrick Idea Center is a unique program where faculty and students come together to generate new ideas around business, social/cultural issues, the arts, and more. Programs like this are only found in prestigious schools, such as Stanford.
Do well, do good, do more!
